Sponsorship

All we can say is, "what a tremendous opportunity".

Knowing that there is a dearth of quality programming geared to our "Baby Boom and Beyond" generations, our program will be a beacon to quite possibly millions of viewers. Ideally, our target audience would be very wide, realistically we understand that it's likely to be those age 50 and above. The 2004 census revealed that the vast majority of the wealth in the United States lies in the hands of those over 50. These viewers turn to our program for guidance and access to reputable resources for quality products and or services.

Since we have chosen to air our programs on local cable access, we can offer an option to sponsor programs in your local area, the entire viewing area or derivations there of. Having these options allows you to economically target the regions you desire.

Disclaimer - We must make it clear that local cable access does not allow "advertising". Therefore, our use of the word "sponsorship" is deliberate and will be followed to the letter of the law.

So, what then is sponsorship and what does my company get?

What we CAN do:
Much like the public broadcasting service, at the end of each of our episodes, we will be allowed to place your company's logo or a short bit of video and give a special thanks to your company for sponsoring the program. In that short bit of thanks, we can "voice over" the name, what you offer, and how to contact you - preferably a web address. Your company's logo and a link to your website and or a telephone number is then placed on our website under each episode sponsored in the region selected.

What we CAN'T do:
We can not urge our viewers to solicit your company, quote any type of prices or make claims of the efficacy of your product or service.

The Bottom Line: Cost and Terms

Since this endeavor will be extremely time consuming we are attempting to make this process as easy as possible for everyone. Therefore, we require a full year's commitment for sponsorship. Since this makes our job easier, (i.e. not having to update each episode with new sponsors and updating our website daily!) we pass the savings on to you. A full year of sponsorship is a flat fee of $6,000. This covers one demographic* with a minimum of 12 episodes airing at least 2x a month. We challenge you to find television exposure for your company for under $500.00 a month! Without promising anything we can't deliver, it is clear that our sponsors have a higher likelihood of becoming guests on our show when we cover a topic which relates to their product or service - at no extra cost! Lastly, since our quest is to educate, not to make a mint, we are limiting sponsorship to 5 sponsors per demographic - any more than 5 sponsors decreases the "spotlight effect" of each individual sponsor and begins to look like a list of "credits", which we feel devalues the sponsor and the validity of our program. So, once these spots are filled you may not have another opportunity to sponsor for one full year.

* A Demographic is a fancy term for viewing area. Each area will vary depending upon availability of programming access. Our goal is to create an "equal opportunity" demographic structure - meaning that we intend to make each area roughly the same in terms of potential viewer numbers. For instance - if we were to reach 1 million viewers per demographic, we'd have no problem in achieving this in San Francisco and the surrounding bay area. However, to achieve this in Redding would be impossible, therefore that demographic would be expanded to cover the "Northern California" region. Whereas the bay area may be broken down into "North Bay", "East Bay", "San Francisco" and "South Bay". Yes, we are very aware of how labor intensive this is, but we think it's fair to our sponsors. We are in the process of setting up our demographics at the moment - once we have commitments from producers* and stations, we will post each area with channels, the cities that are included in the demographic, air times and audience exposure numbers.

* Most local cable access stations will not allow submissions for programming from those living outside of their broadcast area. Therefore, we are actively searching for volunteers who will simply act as a "Producer" - for more details on this opportunity, please click this link or the link on our home page. We can certainly use all the help we can get on this front.

We eagerly await your inquiries - the show cannot launch without sponsorship from reputable and conscientious sponsors.
